Screen Printing

Professional bag printing, offering classic printing solutions that are cost-effective and durable

What is screen printing?

Screen printing is one of the most widely used printing processes in the packaging industry, belonging to stencil printing. The principle is that ink is transferred precisely to the product surface through the mesh of a screen with perforated patterns, formed by the pressure of a squeegee. It produces a thick ink layer, strong color coverage, good adhesion, and is resistant to abrasion. It is suitable for most materials such as non-woven fabrics, PVC, and cotton, and is applicable to both sampling and mass production, offering high cost-effectiveness.

Eco-friendly

Features

The inks are precisely formulated according to the international Pantone color chart, ensuring that your brand logo maintains a high degree of color consistency across different batches and fabrics, effectively controlling color differences.

We typically use eco friendly water-based and UV inks, and special effect inks can be customized as needed. Corresponding test reports can be provided.

The ink layer is bonded to the fabric fibers, making the surface resistant to friction and tearing. After multiple tests, the pattern is not easily peeled off or cracked.

How Multi-Color Printing Works

In screen printing, the core principle is “one color, one plate.” To present multi-color patterns, we use a “color overlay” process. Each color needs to be printed separately, and through precise alignment, layers are superimposed one by one to ultimately combine into a complete pattern.
The specific process is as follows:

1-Color Printing

2-Color Registration

3-Color & Beyond

Requires only one screen and a single pass of ink. It is the fastest and most cost-effective method.

Requires two separate screens. We print the first color, allow it to flash cure, and then meticulously align the second screen to print the next color.

Requires three screens and repeats the print-flash-print cycle. As colors increase, the demand for alignment accuracy rises significantly.

Features and advantages of screen printing

High cost-performance ratio for mass customization: The process is mature and stable, the cost of pattern making and production is controllable, and the larger the order volume, the more significant the price advantage becomes, making it very suitable for companies with mass production needs for bags.
It is compatible with a variety of fabric materials: polyester fiber, cotton canvas and various natural fabrics. It also supports common bag materials such as non-woven fabric, PVC, and laminated fabrics, and can be matched with exclusive ink solutions as needed.
Rich and long-lasting colors: The ink has strong penetration, which can present bold and bright printing effects; the pattern penetrates deep into the fabric surface, with excellent adhesion, water and abrasion resistance, and is not easy to fade with long-term use.
A wide range of specialty ink effects: Supports various specialty ink processes such as luminescent and gold/silver glitter, which can create differentiated visual and tactile effects to meet various personalized customization needs.

Applicable fabrics

Screen printing is compatible with a wide range of materials. The following are some of the most common fabrics used in the bag making industry:

Non-woven

Good ink absorption, even color,
slightly coarse edges;
suitable for large solid color areas.

Laminated film

Smooth, non-absorbent surface; compatible
with UV-specific inks; glossy and wear-resistant
after printing; waterproof and scratch-resistant.

Cotton / Canvas

Full, vibrant colors;
good hand feel;
suitable for fine/detailed designs.

Corduroy / Velvet

Specialized inks are required;
suitable for foaming/thick plate inks,
with strong three-dimensional effect.

PVC / TPU

Requires PVC-specific inks;
resistant to folding
and scratching.

Linen / Jute

Coarse texture;
suitable for rough/rustic styles;
avoid overly fine details.

FAQ

Suitable for logos with clear color blocks, well-defined lines, and a limited number of colors. 1-3 colors are recommended.

Before mass production, we will strictly mix the inks according to the Pantone color codes you provide for your confirmation of color and printing effect.

It depends on the quantity of customized bags. The minimum order quantity for standard bag types is 500 pieces. However, for larger B2B orders, screen printing can offer you the most competitive unit price.

After you confirm the design artwork and pay the sampling fee, standard screen printing sampling usually takes 3-7 business days. After the sample is completed, we will send you pictures or videos for confirmation, or directly send you a physical sample.
